Victor came to us as a 9 month old scared boy. He'd been in a home with a family when the neighbor, who did not like the breed, shot poor Victor in the hip with a hollow point bullet. We couldn't let Victor's story end like that, so Love Mutts took him in. He had his hip reconstructed in May and is not running, doing steps, and playing with other dogs without an issue! Victor has worked with our trainer Amy Griswold from the active K9. This young guy walks well on a leash, knows how to lie down, and many other things that make him a joy to have in the home. Victor is great around other dogs and actually thrives with another dog in the home. He is great around cats and has been great around the children he has encountered. Victor has NO treat or food aggression. He loves to play with toys and other dogs. Victor has had a lot of change and is learning to trust humans again, especially men. He will cower at times and bark at me as he is so scared. Victor would do best in an environment with another dog and a family who can be firm with him in maintaining his training. He needs a strong person to make him feel safe.
