Red eared sliders can do tremendous damage to the environment and out-compete native turtles for food and basking space. Flip sustained trauma after being hit by a car, leaving him upside down in the road! Flip has some pirate in his family tree, seeing only out of his right eye after some harrowing adventures! He also has some residual damage to his left lung which causes him to list to the left in the water. HE REQUIRES NO SPECIALIZED CARE but due to his permanent lung damage, combined with blindness in his left eye, release is not recommended. He needs to be with a family who can monitor his well-being.
