About Kaia

Stunning Kaia wants you to dive on into her heart - her name does mean 'sea' in Hawaiian after all! Kaia is a one year old terrier mix who's a great medium size at about 35 pounds. She has a unique dilute brindle coat and the biggest, saddest, sweetest eyes around. Kaia came to ACL from a local animal control where she had been surrendered when her owners lost their home. Kaia is a high intensity lady - she has a lot of love to give, a lot of places to be, a lot of stuff to do. She's just a lot of goodness in a small package! Because Kaia is an emotional, highly intuitive dog, she can also be anxious about new situations and new people. Like many terriers, Kaia thrives with structure and consistency. She loves it when she knows the rules - it makes her feel safe to have a human who will guide her and let her know what's good and bad. Emotional pups like Kaia are so eager to love you - if you're her leader, she's happy to be your good little soldier! Kaia is super smart, and she would be a superstar at an agility class. You should see this girl solve a puzzle toy like it's no big deal! Because of her strong personality, Kaia is a good fit for active adult families only. She enjoys other dogs on a case by case basis.
