About Jax

Introducing JAX! What an adorable guy with a personality to match! This little guy weighs about 8 lbs and is guessed to be around 12 yrs old, although he still acts like a puppy sometimes. He is all tail wags, loves to be pet and loves, loves, loves toys. He can be somewhat protective of his toys and prefers to direct when he is pet and handled so we wouldn't recommend a home with children. He does well with his housetraining and is crate trained.. Jax does have the beginning of degenerative mitral valve disease. He sees a cardiologist and he is on pimobenden as a prevention. His heart will need to be monitored through x-rays 2 times a year and periodic rechecks at the cardiologist. Costs of xrays and recheck exams will be covered by the rescue if done at our approved vet. Jax's adoption donation of $200 helps cover the cost of his veterinary care (neuter, dental, echocardiograms, vaccinations [current until 2021], heartworm and fecal testing, microchip and registration).
