Tuffy lived as a community cat in Burlington, CO but nobody wanted to provide proper care for him other than an occasional bowl of food, nor would he be allowed to live indoors. A local rescue took him in, and although touchy, was found to be friendly enough to transfer to KKR. Before his arrival, we had to shave away the two inch thick matted pelt and remove lots of burrs that covered much of his body. It took a couple of weeks in foster care and a steroid shot for his skin to recover and a few weeks of reconditioning him to the feeling of his skin being touched before he transformed into a friendly but reserved cat. He is still waiting for his forever home! He enjoys petting in small amounts, the laser dot is his only toy of interest, loves to laze on pillows or in the most full cat bed, and has the squeakiest meow you have ever heard! He would do best in a home with other cats and polite dogs.
