My name is Tuffy and if a fun, playful little dude sounds like your dream dog, you could hit the jackpot with me! I am a 2-year-old, 30-pound scruffy terrier mix, and I would love a lifetime of adventures and play with the special family who will call me their own. I have billowy, snow white hair, and a happy smile that will knock you off your feet! I am a happy, active boy and will keep you entertained, for sure! My friends at Fetching Tails saved me after I was found as a stray and brought to Chicago Animal Care & Control. I was so happy to bust out of the shelter and know I was safe! I am a bit of an attention hog and love to receive affection from my humans now! I am an active fellow so I would love a fenced yard at my forever home where I can play ball and burn all my fun energy. When I am out of gas in the tank, I love to cuddle and receive pets from my people. Because of my play style, I would do best in a home with active adults; if you have kiddos, I would prefer them to be older (10+). I would also like to be your one-and-only canine companion; I like to think I am the king of the castle and don't like to share your attention with other four-legged buddies. I have such a big personality and so much love to give that we don't need any other furry friends, anyway! I am a very smart dog and learning more all the time. I have good house manners and am potty and crate trained (though I will bark when I first go in my crate because I would prefer to be out playing with you!) I have also been working on learning commands and manners with FTFs partner trainer so I can be the best version of myself possible. Since I am so smart but have more to learn, FTF will require my adopters to sign me up for training classes, which I am excited about! I love showing off how studious I am, and it will be a great bonding experience for us.
