About Cooney, Passed

'Hi, my name is Cooney. My foster family named me after the fighter Gerry Cooney, and I have the scars to prove it! Since my last dog brother like to hurt me sometimes, I might be best in an only dog home. I am a lover, not a fighter and in time, I became friends with my new foster brother and sister. (I'm the handsome devil on the left.) I'm learning to trust my foster mom and dad, and I'm finding that meeting new people can be fun too. I am protective of my home and yard. I am working on gaining confidence and learning to play. My foster mom was so happy when she saw me grab a toy and throw it in the air. It's the first time she's seen me do that. I now know that when my foster mom gets close to my face, it's to give me love, not to hurt me. I didn't used to give kisses much, but now that I'm trusting more, I like giving kisses. I can get scared when there are loud noises or yelling, so older children would probably be best for me. I know sit, stay, come, shake, down, and leave it (most of the time). I really like when my mom calls me a GOOD BOY! I am not quite ready for adoption at this time, but my foster mom will consider letting me meet some special families soon.
