Kenzie was adopted from Longmont Humane Society at the end of 2011. She is currently 6 years old and roughly 60 pounds. She's a healthy adult that is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. For the past six years, she has been living in a rural community with plenty of space to run around outside and has been free to come in and out of the house through a dog door as she wishes. She knows basic obedience commands and is playful, loving, and eager to please. She is great with people and makes an excellent companion. As much as it breaks our hearts, she needs to be rehomed because she is in need of a place where she will be the only dog. She has some resource guarding issues that have lead to her being very stressed and she can be unpredictable with other dogs. After seeking the advice and help of an animal behaviorist, she has improved greatly, but we believe she will be happier, more relaxed, and feel safer in an environment where she doesn't feel the need to compete with other dogs.
