About Timba

**Please read ALL before inquiring about Timba.** Timba is a VERY affectionate purebred 3 1/2 yr old neutered male Bengal. We got Timba when he was 1 years old with no prior vaccines and had been neglected. We had him neutered, FeLV/FIV tested negative, vaccinated, and microchipped. Timba is great with kids, cat friendly dogs, and fine with other cats except he tends play too rough. He likes to pounce on our older Maine Coon mix. He would probably be happy as the only cat or with another young playful but friendly cat. He is also talkative. He learned to go out our doggy door so he has been an indoor/outdoor cat much to our dismay. Timba loves to follow me when I am walking my dog in the neighborhood. He prefers wearing a harness when we go to the vet instead of being in a carrier. A few days after we got Timba, he disappeared during the night. After much searching, placing ads, etc., we found him in our neighbors back yard and he was unable to walk. After a visit to the ER and then to a vet specialist, Timba was diagnosed in layman's terms as having 2 fractured knees. We believe he jumped over our high wall into the neighbor's back yard which is at least 8+ ft below. Timba had both legs surgically repaired with the use of metal pins by an orthopedic vet. This means he will likely develop arthritis in his knees as he gets older. Timba was later diagnosed by an vet dermatologist as having an allergy to fleas so he has to stay flea free or apply topical Vectra. If not, he will start to lose hair on his rear end. *Timba sprays in the house.* My husband is not a cat person and has been very tolerant through it all but we just don't have the time or resources anymore to deal with the spraying. Plus our senior male Maine Coon mix is tired of being harassed by Timba and we had adopted our Maine Coon mix long before Timba. So we are looking for a patient and loving home preferably with Bengal or cat experience that is willing to work with Timba's spraying issue and keep him flea free. Timba really loves his people and is happy to sleep on my lap while I sit at my computer desk. Timba would probably be happiest with a female that is home a lot since he loves human attention.
