About Danny

Adoption Fee: $400
Great Dane / German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Danny loves the water and he is good with other dogs, kids and has lived with cats as well (he does chase them when they run). He is mostly house-trained, and crate-trained. He weighs in at 65 pounds and is tall and lanky AND still growing. Danny is fixed, chipped and up to date on his vaccines. He was found with his litter-mates and mother dumped in a field. They were born late January 2017. Danny's mom is a gorgeous black shepherd with a lot of energy. We are guessing dad was at least part Great Dane cause he's a big boy and has some Dane looks and qualities (and the Great Dane tail). Danny has some separation anxiety that results in whining/barking which we're working on at present. He would do best in a home where someone is always home or home most of the time and with a dog that is patient as he is a big baby and doesn't watch out where he walks or sits. Linus (also up for adoption) has helped him tremendously with his SA and they seem to adore each other. Linus also had SA and worked his way out of it, so it's possible with time and training and self confidence building, Danny could get past the SA. Danny is gentle and tends to adjust his energy to his environment. He is good on the leash (currently using a Halti gentle leader), has met a couple horses and seen our ducks without much reaction. He seems to want to play with the animals he meets. He adores his humans so he could make a great ESA dog; he's smart and a fast learner. Danny is available for adoption in Oregon or Washington.
