About Lucy Belle

Lucy Belle was saved from the shelter with one tiny but plump pup while she was just skin and bones herself. She was a perfect and selfless mother and now that her work of raising her baby is done and she has recovered and is healthy it is time for her to be someone's baby. She will need a special home with someone that is home and understands the love and patience a rescue dog may take to help them feel at home with a new family. The perfect home for Lucy Belle would consist of: She should be an only dog . She is a one dog kind of girl. She also loves human men. She is fostered by a woman who she also adores but she knows how to flirt when guys come around and has been known to jump, play, run circles and smother them with kisses. She has been great around kids of all ages (even a 6 month old baby) Fence must be strong and secure at least 6' or more with a locked gate. This girl is smart and can sniff any weakness in construction and will happily open up a latch to let herself out. A home with NO cats (and no plans to have cats in the future) She is old fashion that way and lives by the motto that dogs and cats should not live together. Lucy Belle can have a lot of anxiety and feels put out when she is left alone for long periods of time. With the condition she was found in she was most likely abandoned and will have anxiety about being alone. So a home where there are people around throughout the day and night and is patient with her and can help with rehab for separation anxiety will help her put her fears at ease. She is housetrained and will wait by the front door when she needs out. She doesn't make a fuss though and if you don't notice after a long time she may have to find a spot inside. A doggy door for Lucy Belle would be perfect. She is a WONDERFUL dog who will make someone a great companion.
