About Chewbacca

My name is Chewbacca and I am staying with my foster mom and dad for right now! I am a 5 year old male, German Shepard mix, and around 55 lbs. I was put up for adoption because my previous owner moved in with someone who was allergic to dogs But, since I've lived in a house with other dogs, I do great with small and large dogs. I'm also good with kids! I am housebroken and I know basic commands - including lay down and paw! My foster mom tells me I'm super smart! I absolutely love going on walks! I get so excited that I walk really fast and try to greet everyone, but I'm working on it! I also love sticking my head out the window on car rides or putting my face right up next to the air conditioner! I don't particularly like crates, but I'll lay on my bed, on the floor, at the foot of your bed all night long and not make a peep or wander. My foster mom tells me that it is very impressive and that I don't wake her up at all! I get along with other dogs, but really I just want to be with my people; I'll follow them anywhere. I have some separation anxiety, but only because I love people so much. My foster mom tells me that I'm super low maintenance and very well behaved. I would love a home where there is someone around fairly often and who would take me on walks. I would do fine in a home with other dogs, but maybe ones who are also lower energy.
