About Tex

Tex is about a 3-4 year old male long haired black and white tuxedo cat who has been being fed at a local Burger King in Bessemer City for a while. Recently, his feeder noticed that his ear was bloody so she got him in her pet carrier and took him to the vet where he was treated for ear mites, vaccinated, wormed treated for fleas and neutered. He also received the combo test for feline leukemia and FIV and was found to be positive for FIV. Studies have shown that cats who are positive for FIV can live as long as those not diagnosed with this as long as they are kept indoors without aggressive cats and provided vet care when needed. This cat was housed at our vet for several days and did extremely well. He is very friendly and affectionate. Please contact me if you are able to give him the great forever home he deserves.
