About Ava

AVA 1-2 YEAR OLD POINTER MIX FEMALE Hello, my name is Ava but my foster family likes to call me 'Ava Bean' or just 'Bean'. I was rescued from a local kennel after being there for a long time. My leg was hurt and I didn't feel well. Now I'm feeling better and I'm a sweet girl who has some anxiety with new situations and when I'm alone. I prefer to be the one to initiate affection so would do best with older children and adults. I'm low to medium energy, weigh approximately 50 pounds, and prefer to be the 'one and only' fur child. I walk well on a leash (I only pull when I'm excited). I will fetch (once or twice) but would be fine with leash walks. I absolutely LOVE food and will do anything for a treat. My foster family says--- Ava is a sweet dog who prefers to be an only pet. She believes she is a lap dog and loves to cuddle on the couch. She enjoys a short walk but nothing too long due to her old leg injury. Ava would do best with a family who is home often. Ava fits in a 3�'��6' wire crate. She is in a foster home in Lorain, OH with a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children ranging from 9-16). Ava is looking for a forever family and her adoption fee is $200.
