Solana is such a sweet dog! She loves belly rubs and tush scratches! She gives little kisses. She loves to play with her toys and chew her rawhides. She loves walks and walks best on her gentle leader. She would do best with a 6' privacy fenced in back yard, as she is a climber and jumper. She was abandoned and neglected in her previous home and had to be confiscated for cruelty by animal control. Because of her past, she does have some anxiety issues that we are trying medication for. She is currently on 20 mg of generic Prozac once a day. This medication has helped her to calm down and be manageable. She HATES her crate and will drool a pool and be completely miserable if left in a crate. She stays in a spare bedroom because I have cats, and she has an extremely high prey drive. She is good with male dogs who don't get snarky with her. She doesn't like to share her toys. She especially really loves one of my other foster dogs, and they love to play with each other outside! She is also 100% deaf. For this reason, older children, who won't startle or scare her with their unpredictable movements, are recommended. She is great with my 8 year old nephew and 16 year old niece! And because she is deaf, if she ever escaped, she would be highly likely to get hit by a car. So, her family must always be sure gates are locked and doors to the house are never left open unless she is secured. She is SO lovable! If you have had a previously neglected or deaf dog, please consider her! If you are otherwise interested in this cutie-pie and would like to give her a forever, loving home, please contact us! (I am being fostered in the Lafayette, Indiana area!) More information on adopting and adoption application can be found on our website at www.lastcallk9s.com
