Please email [email protected] to receive an application, or if you are working with our wonderful partner, For The Love Of Dogs/Vermont Dog Rescue, please fill out an application at http://www.vermontdogrescue.com. For the Love of Dogs Vermont Dog Rescue is our partner rescue and helps place many of our rescues into loving homes. Buddy was left abandoned for 5 long months when his owners moved away. For 5 long months Buddy waited and waited for his owners to return. Never once leaving the property except for a few times to find refuge under the neighbors porch to get out of the rain. No one knows where he slept at night but he would be there in his spot every morning. Day after day waiting for his owners to return. Never giving up hope. Buddy is such a sweet guy. He is very loving and he seems so happy to have a warm bed at night and someone there to love him He does have arthritis of the spine and hip which will require management. He is currently taking Dasuquin daily and doing so well with it. He gets around better and has become playful with the other dogs. He has a favorite spot he likes to lay and either chew on his favorite toy or will lay quietly the whole day except for an occasional random bark. We like to think he is telling us what a great life he has now and thanking us. Buddy may only have less then 5 yrs to live but he is so deserving of a loving home with a family that will never again abandoned him. OUT OF STATE adoptions are possible. If you are working with For The Love Of Dogs/Vermont Dog Rescue, the additional fee is $200 to cover transportation costs and the health certificate, which is required to cross state lines. Transport to other areas is dependent on location, fees, and availability of independent transport services. You are always welcome to pick up your new family member.
