Cats with special needs deserve love and homes, too. Most are adoring and completely unaware they have any condition which some might think makes them 'imperfect.' They are perfect in their own way. Daffodil is one of those cats! Affectionate with a sweet disposition, she enjoys being held and is quite the purrbox. We just adore her. She has had a rough start in her life. Daffodil was abandoned in mid winter by her previous owner causing her to lose part of her ear due to frost bite. She was fortunate to be rescued but unfortunate enough to have contracted Feline Leukemia (FeLv). She loves to be held and play, and adores interaction with humans. Daffodil can live with other species (dogs, bunnies, etc.) but she must be an ONLY cat or live with other felines who have the disease FeLv. A cat diagnosed with Feline Leukemia (FeLV) is still an ADOPTABLE cat. Despite the fact that a FeLV positive cat may not use up all of its fabled nine lives, living a loved, pampered and protected one may be just what the vet ordered. There are no definites and she can live a long while. Daffodil has been healthy with no symptoms and can continue to have years of a happy life. The family who adopts Daffodil has to be willing to love her for as long as she has. In reality, none of us knows how long we will have with our pets, but in Daffodil's case, we know to make the most of that time.
