Meet Buddy! This little fellow was found as a stray on the streets of a NJ city, confused, hungry and tired. The shelter officers that found him were surprised that he had survived for whatever time he had been on his own. At merely 10 pounds, we don't know what obstacles he had to overcome to do so, but whatever they were, they were surely bigger than him! Schultz Senior Dachshund Sanctuary specializes in the safety and protection of OLDER animals in need. The shelter reached out for our assistance in saving this dog's life. We have continued the veterinary care and emotional support BUDDY needed to mend him both physically and spiritually; we are happy to see him growing stronger each day. BUDDY has surely been blessed to receive this second chance at the proper love, care and companionship he deserves in his final years. Buddy can be a little cranky. He going blind so having another animal in the house compatible with him with help. He can be extremely loving, but Buddy had a rough life so sometimes he doesnt want to be pet. We prefer and are honored to work with senior citizen adopters who are home more than not to provide the good company that this little guy needs. Won't you be a part of his journey HOME?
