About Dante

Say hello to our handsome boy, Dante. We first spotted him in an overcrowded shelter that did not have the resources to care for him. The poor boy was very sick with Valley Fever. We pulled him and immediately began treatment. He was with us for a little while and then was adopted. We supported Dante and his new family by covering his Valley Fever meds for the next six years. Dante was finally cleared of Valley Fever in early 2022! Sadly, Dante is back with us. He was recently returned when his family moved. Dante is about nine years old now and is very comfortable living in a home. He is potty and crate trained. He doesn't mind hanging out in a crate after dinner and likes to sleep in it. He is on the mellow side now but loves to go on walks. He hikes about a mile everyday with his foster mom and two other senior dogs. Dante's family had children and another small female dog. He gets excited when people visit at his foster home and enjoys meeting new people. He seeks attention and follows him foster mom from room to room. Dante every enjoys getting a bath. We have him an allergy med right now. He is little itchy, but we are getting it under control. Dante is happy, active, and outgoing. He is sweet, smart, and loving - all he wants in life is a person or family to love. If you're looking for love that comes in a tail-wagging package, make it a point to meet Dante.
