I would like to introduce you to Poppy. She is a sweet loving 2yr old bull dog mix. She was initially on the kill list in a local shelter for being fearful. She does not like other dogs except her sister Pepper and hates cats. She takes treats nicely as well. She is fed with a slow bowl as she gobbles her food down pretty fast. Poppy is totally vetted. She is up to date on her shots, spayed and is Heartworm negative and on preventative. She has been chipped and registered for life. The perfect owner for Poppy will be one without younger children as she is playful and loves to run. A young child she can knock down. Poppy loves to play and will give you lots of kisses and loves to have her tummy rubbed too. Poppy is crate trained, yet she will need an person that is home most of the day so she is not always crated. She needs the freedom to be out with her people. If Poppy sees dogs on the other side of a fence, she will become fence aggressive and chase the other dog, so a stockade fence would be ideal. Her perfect home will add her to their family and not let her remain outside without supervision. She will be treated as part of the family and live indoors. I think Poppy might be good with other dogs if an introduction is done properly. . The perfect owner will give Pepper love, discipline, and a routine. The perfect home will have a fenced in yard so that she is able to run and get the exercise she needs. She LOVES to run. The perfect home will not have any cats either. She does not like them and will chase them and possibly do harm to them, like kill them. If you are willing to be that perfect home for her, please let us know by filling out an application. We do not place dogs in townhomes, condos are apartments. Poppyr is currently at our base with her sister Pepper.
