About Scooter

Scooter was rescued by SoCSR from a high kill shelter when he was 14 years old. Scooter has some health issues and foster mom has been working on getting him as healthy as possible. Scooter is in stage 2 to 3 renal failure, has irritable bowel disorder and hyperthyroidism. He takes medication for the latter two. Scooter is not too good at making it to the litter box all the time, so foster mom goes through lots of puppy pads! On the good news side, Scooter has gained some weight since rescued and has made himself at home with foster mom Sherri and her other cats. He gets up the cat tree and he loves catnip toys. Scooter loves to be kissed and petted and he sleeps with foster mom too. Scooter's monthly care amounts to about $321 a month for his special food, prescriptions and puppy pads.
