** Ask About My Special Adoption Donation ** Hi there! Remember me? I'm Eric, and I'm baaaaack! I thought that I'd found my forever home, but even though my new mom and I loved each other dearly, we just couldn't make it work. We gave it the best we had for several months but eventually had to call it quits. You see, there were dogs involved. And as much as I tried, I just couldn't adjust. And since Safe Place for Pets will always take back an adopted pet if things don't work out, here I am again. For those of you who don't know me, I am a twelve-year-old, mostly gray, male neutered domestic shorthair with claws. Is that a mouthful or what? I am a handsome fellow, so much that the Safe Place volunteers have always called me the Tom Selleck of Safe Place. But someone mentioned the other day that Sam Elliott might be appropriate as well. ;-) As far as personality is concerned, I am a great guy. My prior mom called me the most affectionate cat that she has ever known. I'm not a huge lap cat, but I like to be close and keep you company, especially if you are trying to work! I like to sit at your feet or on the couch with you if you're watching television or reading, and I would be happy to sleep with you. I used to follow Mom around from room to room, telling her exactly what she should be doing and letting her know if she was doing it wrong. I pay particularly close attention at dinner time. That's an important time of the day! I have to say at I am not always sociable. Like most cats, I'm somewhat independent and like my alone time. But that doesn't mean that I'm less of a pal! Even though this try didn't work, I'd still like to find a forever home of my own. The Safe Place volunteers are happy to see me again, but it's kind of bittersweet because everyone loves me and was really happy that I'd found a home. I think I'd better steer away from dogs from here on out, but I've occasionally taken a young male cat under my wing (so to speak) and become good friends with him. So that may be a possibility.
