About Ella

There is only one queen in the Adopt-A-Dog castle and that is Ella! Ella is an absolute sweetheart and we could not imagine a sweeter companion to be by your side. She is equal parts sugar and spice and is more than ready to join you on a walk around the neighborhood or for fetch in the yard. As one of our office dogs, Ella has proven time and time again that both her filing skills and ability to consume the office snacks are unparalleled. She brings joy to everyone with her endless butt wiggles and enthusiasm. Most who have met Ella are surprised to hear that she is a senior because of how bouncy she is. She came to us from Yonkers Animal Shelter, as an owner surrender. Ella had been the companion of an older person her whole life and when they were no longer able to care for her, her family had no place for her. At the city shelter, Ella was adored by the volunteers who saw just how kind and sweet she was. She is also a breast cancer survivor which makes her even more deserving of a home of her own. One can imagine how much love and devotion Ella had for her person and she is truly a 'lovebug'; she shares her love and affection with every new person she meets and is just waiting for a family to call hers. Not only is Ella queen of the castle, she rules benevolently and is more than happy to give kisses to any willing subject. She is a fabulous walker and can strut around the neighborhood with the best of them. Adding up all of her qualities, you would be hard-pressed to find a better companion.
