Ellwood (Born July 2015) is a neutered grey tuxedo short-haired cat. Ellwood was caught during a mass trapping of more than 30 cats where 2/3 of the colony were kittens 4 months and younger. He was one of the oldest kittens caught and understandably he is still a little shy, especially with new people or places. Ellwood has become very sweet, he'll meow for attention, loves being pet, and will even get his purr going and roll over for belly rubs if you warm him up. He is still easily startled and will sometimes get spooked and run and hide for a minute to collect himself. He's getting braver every day though, and has always had a soft spot for little kids who he lets do anything to him, even when a toddler made a game of dripping water on his head! He might never be a super outgoing cat with new people and places, but we know for his one special forever family he will be an AMAZING little buddy. Ellwood has been fostered with other cats, dogs of all sizes, and kids 2-11 years old, so he'd be great for just about any home that will continue to work with him to build his confidence. We think he'd do best with at least one other young playful animal to keep him company. He'll be happier with someone around 24/7 and he seems to have more confidence with a role model around to show him how to be brave.
