About Charlie

Charlie has been a stray cat that I have been taking care of for almost 2 years now. He was very scared and it took me a very long time to be able to touch/pet him. He now allows me to not only brush him but clean his ears. He seems prone to collect lots of dirt in his ears and he allows me to clean them with swabs and liquid ear cleaner. No ear mites. I finally got him neutered within the last 6 months and he is updated on all his shots. He lives strictly outdoors but during the winter he stays in my garage, complete with heating pads, electric heater, blankets etc. I already own 4 cats, one of which is dying and I just can't afford to keep him forever and it's not fair for Charlie to have to always be outdoors for the rest of his life, because my indoor cats would do nothing but hide if Charlie lived inside and outside. Charlie is a sweet natured cat, about 2-3 years old and was mostly likely abandoned by someone in apartment complex that wraps behind our development. Charlie will take quite a while to gain your trust, but he is worth it!! I need someone that has experience with scaredy cats who doesn't own other animals and lives in a safe area for Charlie to be able to come and go outdoors if he wishes. Charlie is not a cat you throw over your shoulder and carry around. Do I think he could be a lap cat if given time and tons of TLC? YES. The adoption fee being asked will be donated to our local animal shelter, Mohawk Menands Animal Shelter in order to help other voiceless kitties like Charlie.
