Terrence (2 yrs old as of 03/2016) is a neutered, male, buff tabby, short-haired cat. Terrence and his sister were born in a neighborhood of retirees that took pity on them and fed them enough to thrive, giving them just enough attention to keep them interested in people but never teaching them how to be a 'pet' cats used to being picked up or living underfoot in a home. They were happy living this in-between life until winter came early and most of the people who fed them left for vacation homes in warmer climates, leaving these guys hungry, scared and lonely. When found, we took them into foster care where they've been slowly coming around. After many months, Terrence seems happy living inside but hasn't really bonded with people yet. He'll play with toys for human interaction but hates being reached for and doesn't seem thrilled about being held if you do manage to catch him. He gets along great with the other cats and dogs in his foster home. He quickly becomes a big brother to any new fosters that come into the foster home, so he could be a great companion for existing pets of a family willing to give him as long as he needs to come around to really trusting them.
