About Beaumont

Adoption Fee: $150
Great Dane / Foxhound
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Beaumont isn't like any other stray we've come across in rescue, his story is an extraordinary one. Like most strays we come across, this little pup suffered the threats of his environment; emaciation, neglect, abuse, and starvation; only the severity of each of these threat was unlike any other. Beaumont wasn't just discovered roaming around the heat and dry terrain of Tijuana--he was discovered in practically a heap of skin and bones using the strength he had left to drag himself around with only his two function forelegs. Such a heart wrenching thought to imagine, a man by the name of Walter had not only witnessed this for himself in person, but he had shared the plea to us in hopes of getting help for this pup. Beaumont was not only visibly emaciated, but he had also been infested with ticks and suffered the pain of licking his flesh raw and rotting. We decided to name him Beaumont, which is french for 'Beautiful Mountain' because he is beautiful and he has already shown us he is as invincible as any mountain. Beaumont has gone under bilateral hind legs amputation due to his deformity there was not another option. Since amputation he feels to move independently & freely, a true miracle to witness. Beaumont is also fully potty trained, he has control over his bladder and bowel so diaper is not necessary. We purchased a custom made wheelchair for outdoor walks. Currently we are focusing on helping him with wheel training consistently. We strive to get him to a loving forever family who can appreciate a dog with special needs and who view his journey as inspirational. The adoption fee includes: Neuter, dental cleaning, comprehensive blood panel, urine analysis, fecal test, heart-worm test, microchip, and vaccination.
