Genevieve (about 2 1/2 yrs old as of 07/2016) is a spayed, female, tortoiseshell, short-haired cat. Genevieve was found outside as a ridiculously friendly and outgoing stray. We can only guess at her age and background, but because she was so petite and still so playful we think she was just under 1 year old when we found her and she's still acts like a big kitten! We also suspect she was raised from very early on as an only cat because she is so open and loving with all people but so terrible at social interactions with other cats. She often gets upset just by the sight of other cats and sometimes throws tantrums around them. When she does try to make friends she sneaks up on them and tries to play rough, like she never learned the right way to go about it from a mother cat and litter-mates. She even plays a little too rough with people so we wouldn't recommend her for a family with small children, but for the right family that likes to 'razzle' their cat and isn't phased by play bites she'll be tons of fun! If she's not playing, she loves to be cradled like a baby and held or carried around for ages. She is a very attention seeking cat and will probably do best as a spoiled only cat or sharing the spotlight with just one or two other young, playful, and hopefully more submissive cats, like her shy foster friend Sunshine.
