About Truffle

Truffle is a 10-year-old male Pomeranian and weighs 12 pounds. He lived with his original owners his entire life and came to us after their divorce. He knows quite a few commands and loves to turn in circles for treats. Truffle is looking for a human companion to call his own! Truffle is completely housetrained as long as he is kept on a schedule or has access to a doggy door. He loves to go for walks, car rides, and outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, or just every day errands. We envision Truffle with a single man or woman who is looking for a loyal friend. He will follow you everywhere and wait by the door for you. Truff does have a few quirks that are easily manageable: he can be toy aggressive with other dogs, but that seemed to diminish after the first week or two; he's not the biggest fan of brushing/grooming, so we simply take him to the groomer once a month; he will bolt out the door if given the chance, but a firm 'sit and stay' command does the trick. Truffle also has an issue with large objects like assistive walkers or vacuums moving in front of him and he will move to bite the object, but not the person. He looks for guidance and loves to please. We would love to see Truffle in a home without young children or elderly adults and with a fenced yard. Truffle is neutered, up-to-date on rabies, parvo/distemper, and bordatella vaccines, microchipped, has been dewormed, fecal and heartworm/lyme/erlichia/ and anaplasmosis tested, and has been started on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative.
