About Stella

Stella is a 1.5 year-old Great Pyrenees who has already come so far on her journey! She sports a gorgeous and soft white coat with the most perfect expert eyeliner adorning her look-deep-into-your-soul eyes. When she first arrived, she was extremely malnourished at just 50 lbs! Thanks to good nutrition, great foster mom, and her own resilient spirit, she's gaining weight like a champ, she's up to 75lbs so far, and is blossoming into the goofy, loving girl she was always meant to be. Stella just finished her heartworm treatment and is recovering under the watchful eye of her foster mom (yes she's spoiled rotten, thank you!) She'll need a forever home soon, to help her continue putting on the weight! But she makes it so easy! She's very food-motivated. Chicken? Umm... Yes, please! Did we mention she is also eager to please? The whole package! This gentle girl is wonderful with kids. She adores being part of the action, happily following children around the house and even quickening her pace to keep up with them on walks. Stella is affectionate and calm, just as happy to soak up pets as she is to flop on her back for a belly-up snooze. She is crate trained, dog- and cat-friendly, and is working on her leash manners. With patience and consistency, she's sure to pick it up quickly-especially if snacks are involved! Stella is ready for her next chapter with a family who will give her the love, structure, and encouragement she deserves as she continues to thrive.
