About Maggie

~ MAGGIE IS SPECIAL DOG FOR SPECIAL PERSON ~ This beautiful girl Maggie was rescued from the middle of rush hour traffic in Indianapolis and after being unable to find her family or anyone to claim her we are looking for special person to adopt this special young pup. Unfortunately Maggie was with a dog rescue for almost a year that did practically nothing to find her a potential adopter and kept her in a crate 23 hours a day without telling us (the rescue has since been shut down!) Maggie is a healthy young pup approx. 2 years old now and 46 lbs. She is sweet, smart, affectionate, and completely housebroken, crate trained and travels well in the car. Maggie is very attentive, athletic, walks well on leash and has learned sit, stay, down, shake already�'�|like many dogs she's quite motivated by treats! Maggie loves to play fetch with a ball or toy plus she gets along great with our little 12 year old Jack Russell rescue. Maggie needs a slow introduction with any new humans or dogs and possibly may need to be the only dog at home, but once she knows she's safe and loved she'll be your best, most loyal friend. She would be a great hiking or running buddy and loves to go for long walks in the woods! A veterinarian neighbor helped us get Maggie spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped so she's healthy & ready for a new home! Additionally we invested over $2000 for professional training for Maggie so she has good manners and responds well to instruction. We will pay for up to 3 additional visits with an experienced trainer to help Maggie adjust to her new home and people. Maggie is happy to chill out at home or go on fun adventures! My wife and I are older with a small house and tiny yard plus some health issues that prevent us from being her forever family however we love animals and will continue to foster Maggie until we find her special person. Due to our personal issues we need to find a loving forever home for Maggie ASAP, she will be a great family dog & we are committed to helping her live her best life.
