Meet Sassy & Suzy - Two Sweet Basset Hounds Looking for a Loving Home. Sassy came into my life six years ago as a playful little puppy. I adopted her from someone who could no longer keep her, and since then, she has grown into a happy, healthy, six-year-old with a wonderful personality. Four years ago, after my wife passed away, Sassy was grieving deeply-she wouldn't eat and spent most of her time sleeping. That's when Suzy, my second basset hound, joined our family. Suzy brought Sassy comfort and companionship, and the two have been inseparable ever since. Both Sassy and Suzy are in excellent health except Suzy had Glaucoma in both eyes and cannot see well. Both girls are fun-loving and as obedient as bassets can be. They are gentle, affectionate, and truly the sweetest companions you could hope for. At 73 and living alone, I've realized that I can no longer give these two wonderful dogs the care they deserve for the years ahead. It's with a heavy heart that I am looking to re-home them. My hope is that one family will adopt both Sassy and Suzy.
