***URGENT - SOPHIE NEEDS A HOME BY SEPTEMBER 20 @ 4:00 PM Sophie (ID: A276630) - ~1.5 years old spayed female German Shepherd mix 51 lbs. Sophie was found as a stray in Sept 2024 and has spent a large part of her life in a kennel. She is extremely stressed in the shelter environment and has been losing weight from pacing, spinning, and jumping. If she doesn't get a foster, adopter, or rescue transfer by Sept 20 at 4:00 PM, she will be humanely euthanized. About Sophie: Very dog-friendly - gets along with males and females, loves to run and play. Lived in a previous foster home with cats (reported to do well). '� Walks well on leash with very little pulling. '� Timid with new people - especially fearful of unfamiliar men (reported by two foster homes). '� Needs a calm, patient home outside the shelter where she can decompress and be given time, space, and stability. What Sophie needs: A patient, gentle adopter or foster (or rescue transfer) willing to work with a timid dog who needs time to trust.
