Fun & Loving Male, Shitzu 3 yrs old, needs owner who 'Knows Dogs' If there's an extreme dog lover out there looking to make a difference in a dog's life, this is your time to shine %BD%BD%BDZ Meet Tito. Tito's a carefree, fun loving, 3 year old, full blooded Shitzu. He's healthy, up to date on his shots, and current on his monthly flea and heart-worm preventative meds. He's been neutered and microchipped. The person who originally purchased Tito feel ill shortly after, and could not care for him, so we as a family, have tried our best to meet Tito's needs. We care for our handicap elder family member, and due to his disabilities, we have rotating caretakers all through the day and night, so we've concluded that our house is just too busy for Tito. In addition, we have no option atm but to move, and were unable to bring Tito along where we're going. Tito takes his responsibility of protecting his territory and 'his person' seriously. Dogs are known to be faithful companions, and Tito for sure fits the bill as a super devoted pet to 'his person'. He can take it to the next level at times, however, although we don't believe it's out of meanness, he's just a dog. When folks come around that Tito's not familiar with, in his territory, he becomes territorial/defensive which at times, could be interpreted as being aggressive. We want to be as transparent as possible, so anyone interested understands Tito and his needs. At the end of the day, Tito's a dog, and we're trying to make sure folks understand Tito, we do not want the things we're explaining to 'label' Tito as aggressive or high maintenance, he just needs someone who 'knows dogs' to bring him home, and be 'his person'. We're are on a time sensitive deadline to rehome Tito, so we don't want to waste anyone's time with meet & greets. We are definitely down to do meet and greets, but please, only serious inquires. Our goal here is to inform and encourage the person who hears this calling, to reach out and help save our Tito. We believe this persons needs to have a deep understanding of dogs, that's it. Someone with the patience, understanding, and leadership skills needed to help Tito transition, and live his best life. He will make a really cool companion, as we're all super sad we can't keep him. He loves cuddles on the coach, he LOVES to love his person, and he can be trained to do tricks with treats. Again, when we are discussing Tito's behavior, it is quite typical 'dog behavior'. It's very hard to take Tito seriously when he shows possessive behavior as tiny and cute as he is. We understand in Tito's mind, he looks like this %BD%BD%90%BD when in reality he looks like this %BD%BD%90 - We say he has 'Big dog syndrome'
