About TESSA

Meet Tessa (aka Sonia)!! This little foster girl is ready to land in her new forever home. Tessa is the sweetest girl after given a day or two to acclimate to her new surroundings. She's a 10lb, 10yr old lady who has a lot more love to give, is housebroken and, uses a doggie door (I don't have one, but she accidentally made one in my screen door, so I suspect she was very used to using one previously). She loves to be around her humans, even though she's not a super snuggly lap dog. Tessa has a dental while in the rescue and also is spayed, current on vaccines and microchipped. Tessa adores belly rubs, and will flop over anytime someone looks her way. Tessa does express a tiny bit of anxiety so would do much better in a home where she would have a four-legged friend to keep her company if her human needs to work or run errands. She has buddied up to another dog in her foster home and they often snuggle together. She does great around cats and children. Tessa does not appear to enjoy being picked up and would need some time and patience. When going outside for walks she's getting used to the leash but it would be recommended that she use a harness in lieu of a collar just to be on the safe side that she doesn't slip out if spooked.
