About Mia

Meet Mia! This spunky, sweet little powderpuff is approximately 3 years old and 12lbs. She's a loving, playful girl with a fun, attaching, puppy-like personality. She adores long walks, pets, cuddles, toys, and treats. She is very curious about the world and thrives with kind, gentle treatment. Mia is house-trained, walks nicely on a leash and behaves well when home alone. Mia is deaf. She is very attentive, so there is no problem communicating with her. She knows the hand sign for sit, and we are happy to supply you with the hand signs regularly used for both hearing and deaf dogs. Her best-match home will offer a cozy loving home in which she is walked every day and joins her people in their fun activities. Mia would love to be the only apple of her adopter's eye, or she will do well with another easygoing dog. She is a bit nervous around other dogs, and so will benefit from a rescue savvy adopter who is comfortable with helping dogs become comfortable. She has not lived with cats before, but we'd be happy to arrange a cat test. Mia is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on flea and heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $250. A great home and must haves for Mia include: 1. An owned or stable renter home with a securely fenced yard. Mia loves to run around the yard and enjoys sunbathing. 2. Adopters not gone long hours. Folks who treat their dogs as family members, and include Mia in their fun activities. 3. Rescue savvy adopters who will offer Mia a comfortable and loving home, quality food, regular grooming, and good vet care.
