About Cayce

Meet Cayce !! This sweet and well behaved boy came to us from a very loving owner. Sadly life got hard and they had to make the tough decision to find him another home. He has been well loved and is looking for a family to share his life with. Cayce is a male, Pug and beagle mix. He is 5 years old and weighs 33 pounds. He is overweight and needs his new family to help him lose the extra pounds as it is very unhealthy for a dog to carry extra pounds. He is already neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He is heartworm negative and on preventions. Cayce is a really good boy. He is very good about his manners and is a pretty easy boy to have around. He's a pretty chill dog. He seems to match energy in the house. He is happy to lay next to you on the couch but the minute you get up, he's right by your side following you like it's the next adventure. He has done well with all the dogs he has met so far. He really isn't interested in playing with them much but peacefully coexists. He will run if a dog is to hyper and trying to play to much but has never been aggressive at all. He has not met any cats yet so we are unsure how he would do. He has not had any trouble sharing food treats and toys. Cayce has done excellent with potty training. He is good on the leash and good on car rides. He was doing good with crate training but has started joining in with the other vocal foster dog in the house and being loud in his kennel. We don't think he would mess anything up in the home if left out though. He does not like to be picked up at all. He will growl if you try. He would likely be fine with older kids but due to this he should not go to a home with younger ones. He has no issues with meeting or being around children as long as they are respectful and don't try to pick him up. Overall this cutie is an easy houseguest and very loyal. He is so loving toward his family. If you are looking for a cutie that's already trained then he may be your guy. Vet and home checks required. No young kids Located in Hampton VA.
