About Snoopy

Hello, my name is Snoopy. Would you like to be my new mom or dad? I have a great mom right now but the neighbors have demanded that mom get me quiet especially at night or they will call the police because I am too loud especially after dark. I think it is because they have a new baby and my singing wakes the baby. But what can I say? I like to sing and I don't have a volume button. Mom has tried several things (pennies in a bottle, spray bottle of water, a shock bark collar, a clicker and she got a dog whistle but it sets the security system off) to get me to quit singing but I think my voice is beautiful any time and any place. Mom thinks part of my singing is that I don't see well in dim light so that means I have to sleep in the crate rather than in my comfy bed by the fireplace. Mom says my other bad habit is digging, which she can't have because she recently had a knee replacement and will soon have a 2nd one. My holes are hazardous to her health and I really don't want to hurt her but those moles just under the ground are just too irresistible. I didn't dig like that until the moles came and I am trying to do the neighborhood a service and rid it of those little varmints. I love the freedom of going in and out at will with a doggie door therefore I have very good potty manners. I am however an escape artist. If I can find a space to squeeze through I will do just that, so I will need a fence in the yard preferably a privacy fence so I can't see everyone out walking in the sunshine you know I want to be nice and say hi to all of them. I am a super sniffer and love stealing anything you leave laying around mainly because I need to be sure there is nothing edible being wasted, you know waste not want not. I am as most dachshunds starving all the time but I have to be limited because �%BC cup of extra food packs on the pounds and I don't want to use one of those wheelchair things so you will need to help me keep my awesome doxie physique. Mom has me on a strict diet of Nutro Natural Choice Healthy Weight and she only allows me 1 cup per day split into two meals. She adds water to it so that it isn't too hard for my old teeth. She gives me one Greenies Teenie per day as a snack and to aid my dental health. Other than that treats are a very occasional thing in moms world but if she leaves anything sitting i will retrieve my own treat, a guy has to do what a guy has to do ya know what I mean. I do love bones also but mom says with my age I should protect my teeth so that is a special occasion like Christmas or Easter. I do love cherry tomatoes and bell peppers of all colors. Mom said the red ones are really good for me because they have lots of antioxidants. Mom usually gives me some of them anytime she has a salad. I am UTD with my vet care, I had a Heartworm test and a DHPPC6 adult vaccine on 9/4/25. That lady tricked me by loving on me while the doctor expressed my anal glands�'�|that was definitely not fun, wonder how the doc would like me to do that to them. Oh well mom says it will make me feel better afterwards and the lady dogs appreciate it as well. Then she clipped all my nails. Now how am I supposed to get at those moles with these little short nails? Once a month mom puts some smelly oil on my neck she says it is to prevent fleas, no wonder I would leave that smell too if I could. My heartworm medicine is Interceptor Plus Chew. Besides heartworms it also treats and controls adult hookworm, roundworm, whipworm and tapeworm infections. It tastes good and makes a nice treat after the smelly oil. Mom got me one of those fancy chips put in my neck so if I get lost they can find you. I am crate trained (although I do not like it) I know when mom says crate up that I need to get in the crate which i comply about 50% of the time. The other 50% I play like I didn't hear her and then mom gets really upset then forces me to go in anyway. I get excited when mom gets the leash because that means we are going somewhere. I am a good car rider and love going on trips but I do need a seat belt to stay in my place, because I get excited and forget where I am supposed to ride at sometimes. Mom suggest the ones made of coated cables because my first seat belt was fabric and I chewed it into one day. I need to be an only dog because I am extremely jealous and will show my bad behaviors as a way to let you know of my displeasure. I may get into the laundry as a blanket rather than use my blanket, I may bark endlessly for no reason or I might pee in the house. Oh one really important thing I like most doxies like to be covered to sleep. Mom pays .50 per blanket and trashes them when they stink. Also I like kids but young ones might hurt my back, 10 years up is best. If I have left anything out just message my mom she is an open book when it comes to me because she wants to be sure I find a good loving caring home for my golden years.
