About Lucky

Lucky was a stray found in Wilmington, DE. We adopted him from the BVSPCA in June. We wanted a low to medium energy dog, which he was at first, due to recovering from kennel cough. Since recovering, he has become high-energy. He's been to training at PetCo. Does well with most commands. He loves walks & riding in the truck. His main problem is jumping and mouthing. If you try to push him away or lift your knee, he thinks you're playing. He also nips at your clothing when doing this. I started taking him to a dog park & he seemed to calm some. Plays very well with other dogs (especially wrestling). Friendly with the people. Still have problems later at home with J&M but can usually get him under control. Sometimes I have to place him (crate). But lately, he has started J&M at the park, so I can't take him there anymore. I'm 61 with bad knees & back and cannot give him the exercise he needs. He needs a younger more energetic family. I think he would thrive in a family with another dog.
