Courtesy Posting: URGENT- Riverside County Shelter, San Jacinto location, So Cal - ID #A1876923 'YOSEMITE'- 1 YR, 44 LB, HANDSOME, PEOPLE AND DOG FRIENDLY & LOVING MALE CHOW/SPITZ BREED X AT RISK IN HIGH KILL SHELTER. AVAILABLE TO ADOPT, BUT SHELTER IS OVERFULL & EUTHANIZING even YOUNG ADOPTABLE DOGS AND GIVES LITTLE TIME. WE ARE THEREFORE ALSO LOOKING FOR A FOSTER AND RESCUE TO SAVE HIS LIFE. RESCUES NEED FOSTERS TO HELP! LOVING AND RESPONSIBLE HOME, OR A FOSTER AND RESCUE needed FOR 'YOSEMITE' as shelter volunteers have fondly named him. This handsome boy came in as a stray on 9/2 and no one ever came for him sadly. The shelter tells us, he has 'No neg med/beh notes at this time. He does have multiple kennelmates.' Estimated to be only 1 year old chow mix by the shelter, at 44 lbs, he is perfectly sized. With his stunning, smooth red coat, we believe he may have another spitz breed in him too like jindo. In several videos we were given, Yosemite can be seen loving pets from staff and retrieving a ball. Shelter volunteers describe him as a pure joy and say He's: 'Very sweet, friendly & social, A total fetch champion, Loves being out in the yard, Big fan of splashing around in the water, Just an all-around good boy' Yosemite (ID #A1876923) is waiting at the shelter, hoping for a family or rescue to see how special he is. He deserves a chance to be loved and live his best life outside shelter walls. Please note with the shelter is so full, though, he may have little time to be adopted or rescued before he is added to their Red and euthanasia list without warning as many dogs at this shelter sadly are if they become ill. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting or meeting Yosemite, please contact the shelter immediately by calling (951) 358-7387 and reference his applicable ID, and also use the listing link to express interest. We recommend you also email the adoption department at [email protected] and [email protected], noting his ID and to express interest. Listing link: https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/RVSD3/A1876923 If you are interested just to foster, or foster-to-adopt, or if you need further help, please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network asap as we are trying to find fosters we can then refer to a rescue group, given rescue groups usually need a foster and a place for a dog to go. He may also be fostered through the shelter if you are local, or we could pair you with a rescue group to assist with this as a foster if further away, or needed. If you are a rescue group and interested in pulling and saving this fun loving young man, please email the shelter right away at: [email protected] and call (951) 358-7302.
