Rosie was found as a stray on a creek bank a few months ago. She is a survivor! She is ready for her forever home. Rosie is a very sweet girl who is always asking for belly rubs from her people. Her idea of a great day would be lots of fetch, lots of belly rubs, a few walks thrown in, and maybe even some good play sessions with another dog or cat in the home. Rosie loves to learn, mostly because she loves treats! She is a highly trainable, very athletic girl who might make an excellent working dog or agility competitor. She can soar over obstacles with no problem, and loves any challenge that involves a tennis ball. Rosie has demonstrated very helpful herding instincts with chickens: when some chickens got out of the run, she herded them back to the gate--no teeth involved at all, no chasing, just skillful herding--and then kept them by the gate, sat down, and looked at her person, as if to say, 'Okay, Mom, I got them this far, but now I need you to open the gate for me.' Rosie is a goofy girl, too, who makes us laugh. She is endlessly curious. If you open the fridge door, she will stick her whole head in to sniff around. She's always doing funny things like that. As high-energy as she is, Rosie also is happy to chill in her crate occasionally. She loves her crate. Rosie will need a calm, structured home to truly thrive as she becomes protective of her space and struggles with having visitors, so she's looking for an adult-only home where she can feel safe and secure. Rosie is such a love. She is extremely affectionate. She wants to be your velcro dog. Will you be her hero and give her her forever home?
