She is already a wonderful companion, she knows 'sit,' is potty trained, crate trained, and non-destructive. She's even lived briefly with a family and did well with their older kids, showing her gentle, loving nature. She ignored the resident cat in her previous home. At the shelter, she has greeted handlers with a soft, wiggly body. She happily soaks up pets and takes treats politely. Phoebe enjoys exploring the yard and comes when called, but the noisy shelter environment can make her a little uneasy - especially when other dogs bark at her. She's easy to leash (though she'll pull with excitement) and is eager for a foster or forever home where she can feel safe, continue to build confidence, and fine-tune her leash skills. With patience and love, Phoebe will blossom into the devoted, affectionate best friend she's meant to be.
