About 'ROO'

Courtesy Posting: 'ROO' Saving Gizmo's Friends Menifee, So Cal 'Roo' is a 1.5 yr old, soon to be neutered, adorable cattle dog boy, with medium to high energy, who needs an experienced herding dog home. Not because he is needing training, not because he isnt good with kids or cats or other dogs (obviously he's great with all those).. it's because he's extra mouthy and I don't want the wrong person to call a nip a bite. It's just his breed. My kids get nipped all the time but they were raised with cattle dogs and know to tell them stop and disengage before an overexcited cattle dog gets too rough. That's what Roo will need if placed with a family who has small kids. He walks well on a leash, is still learning basic commands, hasn't had an accident in the house for 2 days now, I think his prior accidents were mostly a territorial thing (working on getting him a neuter appointment asap). He is actually learning the ropes of house manners pretty well. He just needs that training to be continued. That's a basic run down of him training wise. Personality wise, he's a goofball. He loves to cuddle and loves treats and chasing a ball around (I would say it's almost fetch but he wants you to chase him around to get the ball back lol). He is a total velcro dog and wants to be in the room with his person even if that means sitting in the bathroom with you while you potty or shower lol. He's the most textbook cattle dog in the world. High energy, velcro dog, mouthy, and needs to be stimulated physically and mentally. So any experienced cattle dog owner is going to understand that.
