Meet sweet Ollie! Ollie is a very affectionate 3-year-old Bassett and Foxhound mix, whose family has had some unfortunate circumstances and are now needing to rehome the little guy. They are hoping he can continue to live in the beautiful San Juans but are open to the right fit. Please see below for what they had to say about the adorably short and stout Ollie: 'OUR BELOVED HALF BASSET HOUND SEEKS A NEW HOME! WE MUST SADLY REHOME OUR CHARMING OLLIIE FOR DUE TO RECENT MOBILITY PROBLEMS IN OUR FAMILY. OLLIE IUST TURNED THREE YEARS OLD, NEEDS ONLY MODERATE EXERCISE, LOVES WALKS AND THE BEACH. VERY AFFECTIONATE, SMART, DEVOTED AND CHARISMATIC. IN GREAT HEALTH, HOUSEBROKEN, LEASH TRAINED, WILL HEEL, SIT, STAY, ETC....A CHARMING, LOVABLE DOG.' Ollie's family tells us he likes other dogs and loves to play but can sometimes be selective with his doggie friends. They feel he could live well with a compatible canine companion. An ideal home would with a family committed to training, like a lot of Basset Hounds, he has some prey drive and has also displayed some light resource guarding while eating; however, he gives a clear warning and does best when left alone. Due to Ollie needing his space respected while eating, we are looking for a home without small children. He would love to find a forever family that will continue to create positive associations, boost his confidence and to love him unconditionally, as he will love them. He has so much potential! Not only is he handsome, but this goofball is friendly, very loving and one of the sweetest souls you'll ever know!
