About Nobunaga

Nobunaga, Siberian Husky, male, ~5yrs old, 70 lbs. Meet Nobunaga! Nobu for short! Originally from a shelter in LA, Nobunaga was a staff and volunteer favorite there and has quickly become one at APS-FH as well! Before coming to our facility, Nobu spent years in the shelter system in LA and was the longest resident there when he was adopted and transported to the Pacific Northwest with the help of his many admirers. Unfortunately, life doesn't always go according to plan and shortly after arriving at his new home, his adopter could no longer care for him, due to a back surgery and dealing with an illness. Once again, those who knew and loved Nobu in LA, rallied together; this time to keep him in the PNW and transport him somewhere he could find his forever home. We are happy to be able to help Nabu, he is an absolute sweetheart, and we like to think he enjoys it here and appreciates the cool weather! We look forward to guiding him on his journey in finding his person(s) and place in the world. We know his family is out there, they just haven't met him yet. Here's what one of his advocates from LA has to say about him: 'Nobunaga is a large husky (Malamute -mix?), boy (very sweet and goofy), approximate age 5-6 years-- a total goofball and favorite of all the volunteers at the WLA shelter, and now living in Portland with other huskies and a woman who can no longer look after him...Nobu is fixed, vaccinated and potty trained and always smiling--just a big goofy boy who doesn't realize he's not a small lap dog--PS he loves to back-up and sit on you! Does well with cats so far--and loves to be with other big breed dogs, humans and is not an-escape artist-husky, loves to be with everyone. Nobunaga was everyone's favourite -and the longest-term resident.' Nobu is a super friendly and very affectionate husky, that gets along well with the other dogs he's come into contact with. He seems to avoid conflict and loves seeking out his people's attention, especially if it comes in the form of scratches and rubs!
