Please read the bio in full for answers to your questions. In the event you have a question that is not covered in the bio, please email [email protected]. If interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application which can be found at https://seniordoghaven.org/adoption-process/. Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be within a reasonable distance from Landenberg, Pennsylvania for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit. Meet Trixie! Trixie is a 28lb Spaniel Mix who is approximately 10 years old. This sweet girl found herself in a scary shelter after the person she loved most passed away. Thankfully, she's now in foster care and showing her gentle, loving personality every single day. Trixie is affectionately called a 'love bug' by her foster mom because she adores snuggling and being close to her people. She does wonderfully with other dogs and has even met a younger child, doing just fine. We think she would do well with children who understand boundaries and can give her space when she needs it. House Training: Trixie is almost a 10/10! With consistency and potty breaks about every 4 hours, she does really well. Special Note: Trixie did need to have her right eye removed when she entered our rescue. Don't worry-this doesn't stop her one bit! She enjoys her walks around the neighborhood and exploring the yard just like any other pup. Trixie is such a gentle soul who has so much love left to give. She's ready to find her forever home where she can feel safe, cherished, and adored again. Could Trixie be the one for you? Apply to adopt her today and give this sweet girl the happy ending she deserves!
