This sweet boy is Hawke, a 2-year-old Australian Cattle / Border Collie Dog. He's about 40 pounds, medium-sized, house-trained, crate-trained, up to date on vaccines, and neutered. Hawke is a loyal, protective, and playful pup who bonds deeply with his person. He loves to play, has great energy, and will be a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. Because of his past, Hawke has some anxiety around certain men or some strangers. We believe he was mistreated before being rescued from a homeless camp, so he needs patience, consistency, and continued behavioral training to feel secure. What Hawke needs in his new home: * An experienced dog owner who understands herding breeds and can help with training. * A calm, structured environment without a lot of strangers coming and going. * Someone patient, loving, and active who will give him exercise and stability.
