About APACHE

This absolute sweetheart melted everyone's heart at the vet yesterday...he's impossible not to fall in love with! APACHE is a super handsome Border Collie Mix, about 2 years old and weighs 37 lbs. He still has some weight left to gain, but he will remain on the small/slender side. APACHE is a very calm and humble boy, grateful for every spec of love and care he receives. We think he believes he's died and gone to heaven...like he's in disbelief that people can be kind, people will feed him, people will love him. He slowly trots over, looks you straight in the eyes and just can't believe it's true. APACHE has therapy dog written all over him! He's a dog who could bright a smile to the elderly in a nursing home, or brighten up a child's day...or...just be your shining star to spoil and make up for every minute of lost time during his first two years of hardship and neglect. APACHE is excellent in the crate, excellent on the leash and is totally potty trained! APACHE is great with other dogs of all sizes, but he truly is a human-centric dog. He's been starved, so while he has zero issues with any human being touching his food, he does get a little worried that other dogs may get to eat before he does. It's not extreme and he is still new to the idea that he will be fed every single day...so this is 100% to be expected and we just know it'll sink in that he never has to worry about eating again.
