Tootsie | 1-Year-Old Female Pomchi | 11 Pounds Sweet as her name suggests, Tootsie is a one-year-old Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix with soft, chocolate-colored fur and a big personality packed into her petite 11-pound frame. This happy-go-lucky girl was found wandering the streets of Spring, Texas, but she hasn't let her rough start dim her sunny spirit. Tootsie is playful, social, and always ready for a good game of tug-o-war or a round of fetch with her favorite ball. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and would love a home with another playful pup or children who can match her energy. She will chase cats if they run, but she does it playfully and is never aggressive. She's also a talker. Tootsie likes to 'chat' when she's excited, making her a fun and lively companion. Because of this, she would do best in a house rather than an apartment, where her enthusiasm won't disturb the neighbors. When playtime winds down, Tootsie transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug. If you're sitting, she's snuggling. She loves to be near her person and would be happiest sleeping in your bed at night. If that's not allowed, she is content curling up on the couch nearby. Tootsie is doing well with house training and will potty outside if taken out regularly. She has also stayed dry overnight while wearing a diaper. She walks nicely on a leash with a harness and has no issues around food. She eats well and is not food aggressive. The only thing she struggles with is travel. Car rides make her very anxious, and she drools heavily or may get sick if she has eaten recently. For this reason, she would do best in a home where car travel is minimal.
