Courtesy Posting: URGENT AT LA CITY SHELTER WHICH IS FULL - LOS ANGELES ANIMAL SERVICES- SOUTH LOS ANGELES SHELTER- ADORABLE, YOUNG MALE CHOW or CHOW X 'SHADOW' ID #A2217977 NEEDS LOVING AND RESPONSIBLE ADOPTER OR FOSTER AND RESCUE ASAP TO SAVE HIS LIFE, BEFORE HE IS EUTHANIZED FOR SPACE! Help! This LA City shelter is full, and Shadow, along with his girlfriend Mango, were surrendered to the shelter due to an alleged landlord not allowing them and owner losing their home. Mango was quickly adopted, leaving poor Shadow behind. Shadow is said to be only 1 years old and weighs 66 lbs, and is described by his former owners who says he is shy for a few minutes, but relaxed, playful and usually tolerant around children (who are respectful). He is said to be well behaved when left alone. The owner also reported Shadow likes to play fetch, pulls lightly on a leash, and has a medium activity level. He lived with a cat and chased them, but is said to be very tolerant around other dogs, although likes to play somewhat rough with them. The owner says he has never bitten anyone or any dog, but is reported as being fearful of fireworks and panics. Shadow has no reported medical issues, but has a lot of matting but still gorgeous. He was apparently kept outside in the yard where he slept, but Volunteers noticed he seems to be housebroken already as he leaves his kennel spotless and takes care of his business when he was let out. He can be seen in videos enjoying being pet and has a gentle mouth. This friendly young man can be fostered (if local), rescued or adopted through the shelter. He was just neutered by the shelter.
